    Liposuction Surgery in Delhi

Liposuction is the surgical removal of body fat. Also called lipoplasty, body shaping, and body contouring, liposuction can remove excess fat tissue on many body areas. Liposuction surgery removes excess deposits of fat to sculpt an improved shape to a patient’s body.

Liposuction permanently removes fat cells, altering the shape of the body. However, if the patient does not lead a healthy lifestyle after the operation, there is a risk that the remaining fat cells will grow bigger. The area’s most commonly treated include the hips, abdomen, thighs, and buttocks.

    Why is liposuction performed?

When you gain weight, body fat cells increase in size and volume. In turn, liposuction reduces the number of body fat cells in a specific area. Liposuction is normally done for cosmetic purposes, but it is sometimes used to treat certain conditions.

    • Gynecomastia-
Sometimes fat accumulates under a man’s breasts.
    • Lipomas–
      These are benign, fatty tumors
    • Lymphedema-
A chronic, or long-term, a condition in which excess fluid known as lymph collects in tissues, causing edema, or swelling. The edema commonly occurs in the arms or legs.
    • Extreme weight loss after obesity-
A person with morbid obesity who loses at least 40% of their BMI may need treatment to remove excess skin and other abnormalities.

    Types of Liposuction

There are many different liposuction techniques available to surgeons today. The main difference between each type of liposuction is the technology they use to assist the fat removal process. At Dr Monisha Kapoor Aesthetics we generally perform Vaser liposuction, which can be completed in a short period of time. It offers a solution for body fat removal and fast recovery with minimal discomfort. It offers a fast recovery with minimal discomfort. The technique involves the injection of a tumescent local anesthesia formulation prior to suction.

    Liposuction

    Tumescent Liposuction:

Large volumes of fluid – sometimes as much as three times the amount of fat to be removed – are injected in the tumescent technique. There is minimal bleeding during and after surgery as a result of the widespread blood vessel constriction caused by the epinephrine in the anesthetic solution. This is a major improvement in the liposuction technique compared to the older methods that simply use general anesthesia.

    Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction

Ultrasound-assisted liposuction uses a special cannula that vibrates very rapidly and gives off ultrasound energy. The ultrasound energy heats targeted fat cells. Thermal energy disrupts cell walls, breaking up fatty tissue for easier removal. Since fat is essentially melted, it can be eliminated with gentler suction and a smaller cannula for minimal tissue trauma

    Laser Assisted Liposuction

Laser assisted liposuction helps to melt fatty tissue for easier removal. This results in a less aggressive, quicker procedure which may lead to a shorter recovery time. This technique has the advantage of simultaneously offering better skin retraction for patients with mild elasticity issues along with fat reduction.

    Liposuction Procedure in Delhi

    Before Surgery:

Liposuction is a procedure that addresses exactly that – contouring of the more prominent areas where fat has accumulated by removing excess fat cells. The result is more even distribution and smoother body contouring, ultimately helping to achieve a more aesthetically desirable body shape.

    • In the OR (Operation Room) you would be greeted by an anaesthetist (we have one of the more experienced teams from whole Delhi/NCR) and Dr Monisha Kapoor. Here in OT (Operation Theater), you would be put off to sleep and would not remember anything after anesthesia is administered.
    • The body would be prepared for the procedure by applying the antiseptic solution (Povidone Iodine) 3 times and covered with sterile sheets to prevent any infection, this would take close to 30-45 minutes.
    • Dr Monisha Kapoor would scrub in her sterile gowns and start the procedure of body sculpting.
    • She will finish the liposuction surgery by closing the incisions. You should expect to have a minimal scar, but they’ll be thin and very less noticeable, since Dr Monisha Kapoor will deliberately make them in discreet areas.

    Frequently Asked Questions:

The cost of liposuction varies based on the extent of your surgery and the cost of any additional surgery. At Dr Monisha Kapoor Aesthetics the average cost of liposuction is 200,000 to 600,000 (depending upon a number of areas to be treated).

The simple answer is this: Yes, the results achieved with liposuction can be permanent, but only if a relatively healthy lifestyle is maintained after the procedure. At Dr Monisha Kapoor Aesthetics, we offer most advanced Vaser liposuction techniques, which can provide excellent, long-lasting results for the right candidates.

The reality is that most patients only lose about two to five pounds in total. The best candidates, in fact, are generally within 30 per cent of a healthy weight range and have localized fat pockets they would like to reduce.
Final results usually take between 6-12 months, but most patients see the beginning of results within one month. Usually, by 3 weeks much of the swelling is down and most patients are looking better than before the surgery and are able to wear a swimsuit and go on vacation.
Liposuction can make incredible changes to your body contour by eliminating unwanted bulges and pockets of fat. Vaser liposuction works by removing these stubborn fat cells from the body permanently, and yes, it does tighten the skin of the treatment area.
Many patients have concerns that the fat will “come back” in the areas treated after liposuction. As the fat cells in these areas have literally been removed from your body, you probably won’t have to worry about them expanding again. Fat cells do not regenerate, so you can expect your results to be permanent.
